Inclean Innovation Award 2017

The Enviroplus Bioactive Toilet Paper won the 2017 Inclean innovation Award, and we are very excited to be able to provide innovative waste management solutions to the Australian Cleaning and Hygiene Industry. This is the only toilet paper in Australia using BATP® technology, consisting of a synergy of five natural micro-organism strains applied to the paper. These micro-organisms produce enzymes that actively biodegrade encrustations and organic substances present in pipes and sewage systems. This ingenious paper not only cuts the crap from your pipes, but also cuts down on maintenance costs and is revolutionising the Facilities Management Industry. Donating with Greenfleet

At Abco, we take environmental responsibility seriously. This is why we’ve partnered with Greenfleet, an environment non-profit and Australia’s most trusted source of biodiverse carbon offsets, to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. Greenfleet is Australia’s most respected source of biodiverse carbon offsets. As a non-profit organisation, Greenfleet is dedicated to connecting people with real climate action. Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted more than 8.7 million native trees across 425 biodiverse forests in Australia and New Zealand to offset carbon emissions. As they grow, these native forests capture carbon pollution from the atmosphere, provide vital habitat to native wildlife, conserve biodiversity and generate resilience to climate change in the landscape. “At Greenfleet, we are able to restore native ecosystems and tackle climate change thanks to the contributions of our amazing supporters, just like Abco Products,” said Wayne Wescott, CEO of Greenfleet. “Year after year, individuals and organisations help Greenfleet plant more native forests to offset their carbon emissions and it’s their continuous support which makes a tangible and positive difference to the environment,” added Mr Wescott. Every year, Abco offsets the carbon emissions from its car fleet by planting native forests around Australia with Greenfleet. Abco’s generous...

Green thumbs up!

Our Greenfleet Initiative When we talk about clean we don’t necessarily think green. We are changing this with a clear and strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable business model and protecting our environment. In the past few years, we have launched our Enviroplus product range focusing on plant based and non-toxic cleaning solutions and this year, we are launching our new CSR Program in partnership with Greenfleet with a goal to plant up to 1000 trees a year in and around Australia. “From July 2018 onwards we will be donating 1c for every paper product carton sold under our brands Puregiene and Enviroplus to Greenfleet.  Greenfleet seemed like the right fit for our organisation as one of our key product categories is paper products. Although our paper is FSC certified, we felt compelled to ensure the future of our planet resources are looked after and Green Fleet’s ‘Plant a Forest’ program certainly assists in minimising the impact we have as an organisation on our environment and helps us empower our community.” (Deena Syed, National Marketing Manager, Abco Products) As an environmental non-profit, Greenfleet is the trusted carbon offset provider for thousands of leading organisations,...

WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING A FLOOR SCRUBBER

It can be the fastest way to clean the floors, but what should you look for when purchasing a floor scrubber? The benefits of a floor scrubber is very clear. First of all, dirty water is collected into a separate waste tank rather than dipping a mop back into a bucket filled with dark grey water. Plus, the action of the brushes creates friction with the floor, leaving it much cleaner than other traditional cleaning methods. Also, it’s much quicker, much less labour intensive, and much more efficient providing a clean yet dry floor. Here are some things you need to consider when choosing your next floor scrubber: What type of machine do you want? Do you need electric or battery operated? This choice may come down to budget. If your budget is limited, a 240 V corded machine may be your best bet. Of course, you will be slightly restricted with this, but by using an extension lead can be a simple solution. If scrubbing needs to be carried out while there is a potential risk of people tripping on a cord, the battery type scrubber may be far more attractive from an OH&S standpoint. You also need to...
