The lid is manufactured in green, the Australian Standard colour for Organics, with a differentiated slot aperture surrounded by educational text and graphic symbols printed directly onto the lid for durability. This allows users to instantly recognise the correct waste stream without training, and the lid can be wiped clean or disinfected without stickers peeling.

The base is free-standing with no requirement for stabilisation bars or fixing, making it easy to move and convenient to empty or transport.
